Agon
Competitions are fun and exciting for everyone. James Curnow has written a piece that is a musical challenge between the brass, woodwinds, and percussion. Each section of the band performs their melody against the other. It is a really nice effect. Musically, the students will work on dynamics and accents. It is a nicely scored piece that will fit your beginning ensemble just fine. A demonstration CD comes with this set. It has this title on it as well as several others. "Agon - Concert Band" weighs 17.92 oz.
