This book is the method (instruction) book ("Volume 2") for the "FastTrack Music Instruction" series. The "FastTrack" series consists of two instruction books ("Volume 1" and "Volume 2") and two song books ("Volume 1" and "Volume 2"). The instruction books focus on teaching you the basics (sticking, rhythm patterns, fills, styles) and the song books will help you apply what you learn in the instruction books to your real-life playing. The song books are FULL of real songs, like you hear on the radio. Each of the four books in the series INCLUDES a CD with demonstrations as well as play-along songs. We like this series a lot, and highly recommend it.
Notes about the CD: Each music example in the book is included on the CD, so you can hear how it sounds and play along when you are ready. Each example on the CD is preceded by one measure of "clicks" to indicate the tempo and meter. Pan right to hear the instrumental part emphasized and pan left to hear the accompaniment only.
