They are written so that when different instruments play the same parts from their own book, they are playing the same notes. This makes it possible to have non-standard ensembles that you otherwise wouldn't be able to find music for. "Moments Of Swing" is a fun collection of original songs presented in the styles of Jazz, Latin, and Swing. Each of the ten songs is largely based on the chord charts of well-known jazz standards from composers such as George Gershwin, Miles Davis, Cole Porter, and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Creating new melodies for existing charts is a composition technique often used by jazz musicians.
