It is a resin plastic recorder that is comparable to any similar wood recorder on the market, yet is much more durable and easy to care for. The tone is deep and warm, with full lows and crystal clear highs. This recorder is in the key of C, and the fingering system is that of the Baroque-English system (the most popular fingering system). We recommend attaching the optional thumb rest, using a good quality glue, only after you've played the instrument for a while and know exactly where you will get the most benefit from using the thumb rest.
