Classic Rock Guitar Styles
This book is a complete guide to rhythm and lead guitar in the style of Led Zeppelin, The Who, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, and The Eagles. Written by John Tapella, this book of printed sheet music is made up of two sections. The first section is "Styles" and has lots of short examples, both in the printed book as well as on the included CD. The second section, "Complete Pieces", has a variety of (duh!) complete pieces in several styles and key signatures. There's even a guitar notation guide in the back of this book. Highly recommended for a guitarist that wants to learn more about (a.k.a. play better in) the "classic rock" style. The included CD has lots of audio examples, as well as several play-along songs. "Classic Rock Guitar Styles - Guitar (Instrumental Folio)" weighs 8.32 oz.

Dan Crary is one of the world's greatest "flatpicking" guitar players. With this book (and the compact disc which is included with the book), he introduces you to his method of playing "flatpick" style guitar. All of the musical examples in this book are shown in standard notation and in guitar tablature. The book is divided into six logical sections: 1 - Playing Accompaniment; 2 - Creating Breaks To Songs; 3 - Creating Instrumental Arrangements Of Traditional Tunes; 4 - Cross-Picking; 5 - Special Guitar Techniques, Licks & Runs; and 6 - Repertoire Building. If you're an intermediate guitarist that wants to be an advanced guitarist, this is the kind of book you should be working through. An informal writing style and tons of songs make this variety of "knowledge and technique enhancement" a great deal of fun.
