Joey DeFrancesco - Concepts For Improvisation
Joey DeFrancesco officially emerged on the jazz scene in 1989 with the release of his first album. Not only was this the introduction of a major new jazz talent (at seventeen years old) but it also resurrected the Hammond B-3 organ as a viable jazz medium. Joey DeFrancesco's "Concepts for Improvisation" encompasses blues and bebop lines and progressions. Included are many music examples for practice and study. Examples and lines are in all twelve keys and Joey plays the examples in different tempos on the accompanying CD, with and without the right hand. In addition, there are two transcriptions of his compositions and improvisations with harmonic analysis. "Joey DeFrancesco - Concepts For Improvisation - Piano Instruction Book" weighs 13.12 oz.
