Hal Leonard Student Piano Library: Piano Ensembles, Level 3
The "Hal Leonard Student Piano Library" is the beginning piano method series that we recommend for all of our piano students. It consists of five levels of difficulty, with several books in each level. Each level contains several books, which we've noted here in ALL CAPS. We recommend the accompaniment CDs that are available for the piano lessons and piano solos books. Here are the books included in each level: PIANO LESSONS - this is the core book where new concepts are introduced with appealing music used to reinforce the new concepts. There is an accompaniment CD and an accompaniment MIDI disk available for the piano lessons book. PIANO SOLOS - This book goes hand in hand with the lessons book, and contains performance repertoire that is correlated with concepts in the piano lessons book. Accompaniment CDs and MIDI disks are available for the piano solos book also. PIANO THEORY WORKBOOK - This supplemental book contains writing activities that are used to review the music theory that is introduced in the lessons book. PIANO PRACTICE GAMES - This book contains a program of theory, technique, and creativity which is correlated with music in the lessons book. POPULAR PIANO SOLOS - This is a collection of "fun" songs that are graded and arranged to supplement the piano lessons book. The "Hal Leonard Student Piano Library" is well written, thorough, and fun to use. It is a great piano method from a teaching standpoint, and also from a learning standpoint.
